Everyday Comfort
Bring it on, the peace that comfort brings,
And remember it through senseless moments —
You can carry a down comforter with you.
Comfort is a kindness.
We take comfort in the words and deeds of others,
and yet sometimes give comfort to our enemies, or so it is said.
I vote for reliable comforts: the cherished wallet photo, chats at bus stops, and welcome phone calls.
Life is catch-as-catch-can, and pain is often sprung on us.
Comfort depends on personal thresholds: relief from a worsening asthmatic attack, cold water splashed on a sweaty face, a quiet walk before crappy days.
You may be comfortable in your own skin, and count your blessings.
Comfort is mercy.
Give it a try.
