Member-only story

Assembled are we: bones of the mother
I did not know.
Me, the son relinquished at twenty-one months,
talking to her resting sister and brother,
Their parents, the great-grandparents.
Sylvia, Isaac, Beatrice, Mary —
songs and iambs and anthems.
Only my voice remains,
strengthened by other parents.
Honor each one always.
