Not eating the puppy

The dog chewed one shoe and then another.

The dog had an indoor accident.

We all stepped into his outdoor experiment.

He slips sometimes into the gooey gully.

We have an old supply of kidney beans and short-grain rice —

and sardines somewhere.

Am not ready to make a meal of him.
