Twisting to install cabin filters in a Tesla Model 3, at daylight
The two, not one, cabin filters lie behind a panel on the left side of where your front passenger sits.
They’re stacked in a compartment. It’s recommended that you replace them every 2 years. I have a 2022 Model 3 sedan, so it was time.
First, you need to disable sensors that are under the glove box, which are uncrazy-glued to a panel.
Here comes your twisting. You got a flashlight?
This panel is fastened to the frame with four pairs of pins.
The top pins have no slots, so you need to use a plastic tool to pop them — or risk damage with a metal tool.
The cover of the compartment that contains the cabin filters requires a six-millimeter socket to remove. its single screw — wrench or ratchet.
The Imperial measurement system drags on in these United States.
The easiest way to re-fasten the under-mount pins is by coupling them before fastening to the frame.
The mosquitos were patient.
I escaped bites, but was verging on flop-sweating.
